"Ping-Bang" is a multimedia performance work. The title "ping-bang"is consist of double meanings words.The word "Ping" is a famous Unix command to confirm the computers connection. And the "bang" means thata kind of triggering command of musical language "MAX". As you know from the usual meanings of title ,some explosion scenes and sounds to imagine them are used in it.it's realized by some connected computers and "MIBURI" wearable musical synthesizer .

*System

"Ping-Bang" is a solo multimedia performance work for "MIBURI" which is a Yamaha's new type wearable physical modeling synthesizer.All the sound in this work is generate in real time (without tape and sequencer) and some visual part is controled by performer with MIBURI.Performance data from MIBURI is sent out as MIDI signals and they are input to a computer with MAX software. The acompanyment parts use the GCM(Globally Coupled Map)[1] algorithm.Their part is consist of solo part played by MIBURI and accompanyment part of GCM algorithm which is controled by MIBURI.On the visual part two types of image material are combined.One for video tape another is computer controled image. The tape material is for background image and the computer images are superimposed on the video image. The computer image is made by "Director" and "QuickTime". And they are controled by performer through MIDI signal from "MIBURI"
